Why LigaWerk Processes Data
LigaWerk supports the administration of league operations in team sports. Data is processed where necessary for user accounts, roles, club and association administration, competition operations, game reports, licenses, communication, documentation and public evaluations.
Legal Bases
Depending on use and role, processing is carried out in particular for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures, for compliance with legal obligations, on the basis of legitimate interests in secure and traceable league operations or on the basis of consent where consent is required in a specific case.
Server Log Files
When the application is accessed, technical log data may be processed, for example IP address, date and time of access, requested address, transferred data volume, browser and device information and technical error messages. This data is used for secure operation, error analysis and abuse detection.
Login by Email/Login Link
Access is provided through user accounts and login links sent by email. For this purpose, in particular email address, login request, sending time, validity of the login link and login events are processed. Login links are time-limited and intended only for the designated access.
User Accounts and Roles
For user accounts, LigaWerk processes, depending on the role, in particular names, email addresses, assigned roles, club or association assignments, work areas and technical account status data. Roles determine which areas a person may view or edit.
Club, Association and Membership Data
Association data, club data, teams, venues, contacts, memberships, functions, trainer and staff roles and further organisational information may be maintained in the application. This data is used to operate and document league operations.
Competition Operations, Game Reports, Referees and Licenses
For competition operations, LigaWerk processes in particular season, league, team, roster, schedule, game date, result, standings, game report, referee, official, availability, assignment, license and application data. Changes and decisions may be logged with time, involved person and content for traceability.
Documents and Images/Photos
Clubs and authorised users may upload documents, club logos, team images, venue images, personal photos or similar files. Photos and documents may only be uploaded if the required rights and releases are available. For minors, the required releases from legal guardians must be observed. Images marked as public may become visible on public pages of the application.
Email Communication
LigaWerk may send emails for login links, follow-up questions, status information, competition operations, briefings or organisational messages. In this context, recipient address, content, sending time and delivery status are processed where necessary for sending and traceability.
Cookies and Tracking
In the current version, LigaWerk uses technically necessary cookies or comparable storage mechanisms where they are required for login, security and operation of the application.
Analytics or marketing cookies are not used in the current version.
After being dismissed, the cookie notice on public pages is hidden for the current browser session. For this purpose, the application uses sessionStorage in the browser and does not set an additional persistent cookie.
If an appearance such as Light or Dark or a language is selected, LigaWerk stores this choice in the browser via localStorage under ligawerk.publicTheme, ligawerk.themePreference, ea/colorScheme and ligawerk.locale. These settings are used only for display and for preserving the selection when switching between the public area and the admin area. They are not used for tracking and can be removed by changing the appearance, changing the language or deleting browser data.
Recipients and Service Providers
Personal data may be passed to technical service providers where this is necessary for hosting, email delivery, maintenance, security or operation of the application. Within the application, only authorised roles receive access to data required for their respective task.
Storage Period
Data is stored for as long as it is required for operation, documentation, traceability, contract performance, statutory obligations or legitimate organisational purposes. Afterwards, data is deleted, blocked or anonymised unless retention obligations or proof requirements prevent this.
Rights of Data Subjects
Data subjects may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection in accordance with the statutory requirements. Requests may be sent to kontakt@burov.de.
Right to Lodge a Complaint
Data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority if they believe that the processing of personal data violates data protection law.
